Short Description: Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Representative will assist in the development and implementation of recruitment and enrollment goals for Dodge City Community College, as well as actively participate in all admissions and recruiting related events. The Admissions Representative will maintain communication with prospective students as a high energy, outgoing, self-starter with superior presentation skills who is able to effectively work in multiple types of environments.

Full Description: Essential Functions/Responsibilities
To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
Assist with the development of recruitment materials, facilitation of special events, presentations and the preparations of new students for enrollment.
Development and administration of recruitment targeting diverse populations of college bound students (ex. Adult Learning Center transition, multi-cultural recruitment programs, first generation, other underrepresented populations).
Visit students at their high schools for presentations, college fairs, and other admissions related events.
Assist in the development and implementation of all admissions events, including but not limited to: Special Events such as Academic and Technical Education/Workforce events, Junior Experience, Senior Day, Summer Camps, enrollment days, and community functions.
Attends college fairs, conducts tours, and participates in other special events to recruit prospective students to DC3.
Makes presentations and recruiting visits to provide information to prospective students on options and programs available from DC3.
Advises students; explains degree plans, admissions and registration procedures, provides assessment and financial aid information, and other requirements necessary for enrollment.
Tracks contact data, maintains and updates records and files on recruitment activities along with collected student information using various software; creates and submits reports.
Assist in the development of social media, program brochures, web-site, displays, posters, radio and TV advertisements, and other recruitment materials.
Assist with office duties during peak enrollment times when necessary and collaborate with other team members to cover student services stations when needed.
Track and maintain necessary recruiting materials for successful event planning, including booth displays, banners, and swag; reorder as necessary.
Stay current on best practices and advancing marketing outlets by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
Establishes and maintains and active role in the community in order to recruit prospective students and maintain community engagement on behalf of DC3.
Serves on high school, community and collegewide committees as assigned.
Serve on appropriate campus committees (ex. Honors Banquet, Graduation, etc.)
Extended morning and evening hours, overnight travel and weekend work will be required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and/or Vice President of Student Services and Risk Management.

Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree.
Computer skills (database management, e-mail, word processing).
Available for overnight travel and early morning or evening work.
Demonstrated public speaking experience.
Superior presentation skills.
Obtain and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience in Student Services, recruitment, student advising, sales, marketing communications, counseling and or multi-cultural programs.
English/Spanish bilingual skills.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous higher education experience in Admissions, Marketing or a closely related field.

None

Physical Requirements: With or without assistance
Able to lift and/or carry displays and materials up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
Stretching, bending, stooping and kneeling is required to set up and tear down displays.
Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
Able to speak clearly and audibly to students in person, on the phone, or address an audience.
