Job Description:

Kitchens Inc is looking for a self-motivated individual to add to their Engineering Team. This role requires the candidate to be a strong problem solver, as they are required to come up with solutions to problems in the most cost-efficient way.

They have to discuss and read architectural/construction drawings with the staff for the CAD models and develop detailed shop drawings using Cabinet Vision Software.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects
Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
Work under the supervision of engineers
Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures
Assist and coordinate with designers, engineers, management, production, field, and administrative teams when necessary
Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects and provide direction in the shop and field
Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision
Translate field dimensions into working drawings
Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings
The individual must be a good communicator, detail oriented, well organized and a team player. Priortization is key in being able to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
Minimum education is a GED.

Preferred: Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school highly recommended. As well as understanding of cabinet layout, millwork fabrication methods and materials. Prior drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD or Cabinet Vision is also highly preferred.
