Location: The individual in this role will support services in the following counties: Meade, Edwards, Clark, Kiowa, Ford, Gray, Finney, and Seward. Our Western, KS office is based out of Fowler, KS.
Opportunity:
Our team is seeking a Fiber & Wireless Service Technician to support business operations in Western KS communities. In this position you will have the opportunity to support installers and operation service calls. Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Provide support with fiber & wireless to the home installations and repairs
Ability to troubleshoot customer connection issues
Install and repair VOIP services - Residential and Business Customers
Must be able to handle installations and repairs independently
Provide an exceptional in-home/business experience to customers by being friendly, patient, efficient as well as knowledgeable of FTTP service, gateways and WiFi
Working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber networks
Installing drops from the service terminal to the home or business

Self-motivated; must be able to work independently with minimal direction (at completion of training period)

Requirements
Experience/Knowledge Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of work experience
Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
Ability to work at Tuesday- Saturday schedule
Ability to work an on call rotation- including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work both underground and in aerial environments (i.e. climbing ladders and/or bucket truck)
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
Ability to differentiate colors
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Preferences:
Prior experience in telecommunications
