Job Description: Directly responsible for the origination and implementation of all speech and language objectives included in any Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), including case management. Assesses communication skills and functional abilities to determine eligibility for early intervention services. Conducts hearing screenings as part of initial, annual and ongoing assessments and interprets medical reports within the scope of Speech Language Pathologist’s experience. Credentials include a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in speech-language pathology in addition to a current Speech-Language Pathology license from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS). Preference may be given to an individual with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C.). Requires substantial knowledge of early childhood education and special needs. Must have the ability to perform basic math, review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired outcomes and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Salary is determined by the Special Education Cooperative’s salary schedule. Position is based in Dodge City, Kansas with travel required to area counties.
