Job Description:

At Minneola Healthcare, a PTA performs and advances treatment within an established treatment plan provided by the supervising Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant shall perform these duties observing prescribed safety precautions and preserving the rights of their patients. The Physical Therapist Assistant is expected to communicate effectively with their patients, supervising therapist, physicians, staff, and families.

At Minneola Healthcare, we are able to care for patients from pediatric to geriatric. Some of the common diagnosis we treat are:

• Generalized weakness

• History of falls

• Pre/Post Op – Orthopedic conditions

• Stroke

• Neck and Back pain

• Gross motor delays

• Fine Motor control impairments, etc.

Types of treatments we offer:

• Therapeutic exercises

• Balance re-education

• Massage

• Cervical and Lumbar traction

• Gait training

• Vestibular treatment

Associates of Arts Degree from an accredited PTA program and a current PTA license issues by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts is required.
